The diagnosis has been made as -PTB,MINIMAL LEFT- that is Pulmonary Tuberculosis, left lung minimally involved.

You must have sought the chest physician for having coughed up blood plus non specific symptoms like low grade fever malaise night sweats. So it's been diagnosed as Pulmonary that is Lungs' Tuberculosis. So most probably you will go for a Sputum for Acid Fast Bacilli- Sputum foe AFB. These are the organisms that cause Tuberculosis. Depending upon the burden of infection that will be clear from the AFB smears you will be prescribed a 6 months' regimen of 4 drugs. Don't worry. Gone are the days of tabooing TB patients with any stigmata. Today's public is more educated and sensible to recognize the suffering of Millions across the globe who have this disease.

My advise to you is you screen yourself for HIV too as the TB is more prevalent and severe in HIV patients.
Second thing is about the proper Infection Control of your predicament. You should be isolated from even close friends and family members for at the time you become AFB smear negative. If you are going for home care only, wear a mask especially designed with special filter on it- the N95 mast and dispose your sputum in a closed container layered with a thin layer of Phenyl.

Arright! Godspeed.
